Skybot Software Announces the Acquisition of Open Systems Management
Eden Prairie, MN: Skybot Software, a subsidiary of Help/Systems, LLC, the world’s leader in systems management solutions, announced it has completed the acquisition of Open Systems Management Ltd. (OSM), a multi-platform job scheduling software company based in the United Kingdom. With this acquisition, Help/Systems is expanding its growth into the multi-platform job scheduling and automated operations space.
Help/Systems entered this niche last year with the introduction of its gamechanging Skybot Scheduler enterprise job scheduling software for Windows, UNIX, and Linux, which brings faster deployment and lower cost of ownership than current offerings.
OSM’s large customer base and success in the areas of spooled file management and job scheduling fit well with Help/Systems. Merging the development paths of Skybot Software and OSM adds over 10 years of customer input to the functional capability of Skybot Scheduler. Existing customers of both products benefit from this roadmap, and will receive subsequent releases at no charge under their maintenance program.
